Chromecast
« on: May 16, 2020, 09:54:49 PM »
I am using a laptop with Windows 10 and the most current version of Chrome.  The cast button is available, but responds with "no devices found".
I have the same problem with my Android phone.  But my desktop PC and my Android Tablet are both able to cast.
Anyone have any answers?  I would really like to be able to cast from my laptop, especially.
Thanks in advance.

What version of Avast are you using?

Are the versions the same on the devices that work vs the ones that don't?
The version I'm showing will not cast unless I disable the Avast Firewall.

But isn't that program version in your image the current beta build Bob ?

Which presumably the OP isn't using and according to your post in the beta topic the old version worked ?

The previous beta version fixed the problem. This beta version again broke it.

Marvellous, so broken in 20.3 fixed in the previous beta and broken in the current beta.

This total inconsistency was why I have abandoned beta testing, what the hell happened to Q&A and Alpha Testing ???
