What do you mean by random?
Avast password can show for one windows user and not the other, disapear after a reboot for every user,... It seem to work now (after reinstalling avast 3 times and using the repare option multiples times). Noting I tried to fix it had a real effect and I don't know what I did to fix it.

I had the same problem. A fix for me was to download an old version as offline installer and then turn off the internet. Then install Avast and set the application to not update automatically. Then turn on the Internet again and log into Avast and set up Avast Passwords. When everything is ready, restart your PC. Install the latest updates and then everything has worked for me so far. I hope I could help.
