Hello everyone,

We have released another Beta version of AVG TuneUp product!

What's new in AVG TuneUp product?

• New feature - Drive Defrag: Defragments the hard disk using the default Windows Defrag feature with our nice and easy to understand UI. Defragmented hard drive speeds up the overall performance of the PC. It will be available only on classic HDD drives, SSD drives could not be defragmented by design but there is available a trim operation which should increase the effectiveness of future data write operations.
• New feature - 64bit version support in order to make the product a bit more optimized for the today's PCs.
• New feature - Brand new setup and update technology to improve the installation and update success rate and user experience.
• Improvement - Updated Statistics view: Clearer view of what was cleaned and optimized with option to filter the results throughout time.
• Fixed various bugs & issues to make AVG TuneUp smoother to use.

How can you help?

• If you already have a Beta version installed you should get an update automatically (update checks for a new version every 12 hours) if you don't have it yet proceed with the next step to install it.
• Download the Beta version: https://honzik.avcdn.net/setup/avg-tu/beta/avg_tu_online_setup.exe
• Execute the installation package and go through the wizard to install the product.
• The product shall guide you or you can freely navigate through it and try it on your own to see how it works.
• Please try as much features as you can to see how they work and check whether there are any bugs or unexpected behavior.
• If you find any bugs during testing, please create a new thread in this forum section.
• Please provide us also with feedback about what you like most and what you would change.
• Since we aim to deliver the best TuneUp product - would you add anything to TuneUp that is missing? Do not hesitate to share your feedback!

Known issues

• Update - When the product gets updated from the old version, it is not possible to open it using a Desktop icon until PC or service restart.

Hi Thanks for your great work specially in theses conditions of Covid-19
We are always waiting for Duplicate File finder and Disk space Explorer .... (Old functions of AVG PC Tuneup)
We consider this version as a minor update because there is not great new features
I give advice to senior Team that no need to make a final release before adding the most features wanted by costumers because they will be more disappointed

Hi,

we would like to introduce Duplicate Finder feature in AVG TuneUp in some future release.
However at the moment I am not able to tell you when it will be.

Regarding the Disk Space Explorer I cannot say at the moment whether we will "port" it from the old product or not, I am sorry.
