Beware of free avast

Over time, they will withdraw money for this poor software from your account without notice.
They are extremely incorrect.

I have been using Avast Free for over 16 years, I have never had money withdrawn by my account. 

I have never used any of the trial versions of the paid products, so I have never given my payment authorisation and associated details.

Same here, In fact I never installed anything other than the web and file shields - to keep it simple,
and not buy into the security paranoia all A/V companies like to exaggerate.
