Samsung usb driver in Enghish
« on: May 28, 2020, 02:08:22 AM »
Hello

The samsung usb driver does not work with Avast installed, it does not allow it to be installed to the phone when connected with USB.

I did the test of starting with my second HD and there I only have the security of Windows and there is no problem when the phone is connected

How can this be solved, or will I have to uninstall Avast and ask for the refund of the purchased

Thank you

Which Avast product and version, also which version of Windows?
Is it Samsung SmartSwitch you are using to connect phone to Windows PC or another application?
What error messsage/s are you getting? screenshot would help.
Also, do you have Avast Mobile Security on your phone?

Have you tried doing a repair of Avast via user interface:
Menu>Settings>Troubleshooting

I have Winwows 10 updated to date and I bought a license of Avast Premiun Security installed on one of my HD, this one does not work.

In the other HD with Windows 10, I only have the security of windows 10, in this HD I can connect a USB to the Samsung S7 phone without problem.

Also in Notebooks (Win10) without Avast, you can connect the phone with USB without problem.

So I think the problem is Avast Premium Security

tks

Sorry, I forgot to say that Win10 does not need the Samsung SmartSwitch soft and the error is that in the device manager the driver appears with an error (!)

And when I update windows it says that it cannot install the driver.

tks

Do you, or Did you before Avast, have any other Antivirus Software installed that was not properly removed by their uninstaller?

Otherwise you can try a Repair of Avast via the User Interface.
Menu>Settings>Troubleshooting
big green [Repair App] button

If you want to uninstall or do clean install of Avast then first need to download the uninstaller avastclear.exe, See here:

Thanks, I only had windows security installed which is installed by win 10.

Also report the error to the people of Microsoft with screenshot of the message that appears when the driver cannot be installed. I'll wait to see what happens.

In my other HD and in my Noteboock both with win 10 I do not have the problem of connecting with USB any phone, it does it well so I deduce that Avast in something interferes when installing the driver.

I will try to reinstall Avast

Thank you
