This is so frustrating!!! It is happening again across all systems, Windows 10 and Windows 7. Newest Thunderbird (68.12), newest Avast. For all IMAP accounts (hotmail, gmail) across all machines I get "Connecting to..." then "Connected to..." but it can never get to the "Sending login information..." part so once again Thunderbird has IMAP access blocked by Avast. The only solution is to disable Avast and I can get mail again. Can someone from Avast please, please explain what is happening and what is the solution rather than just waiting for it to randomly work and not work?
