Firewall-Pop-Up Info Window too small

The firewall info is not completely displayed.
How can I enlarge/make the complete info (path, etc) visible?
Cant find a way yet to enlarge this pop-up window "Firewall-Frage" (to allow or deny traffic).

Hi,

This might be caused by your display scale and layout settings.

You can try the following in Win10:
1. Click Start on the lower-left corner of your Windows desktop.
2. Click inside the search box.
3. Type Display.
4. Click Change display settings.
5. Under Scale and layout, change the setting to:
100% (Recommended)
6. Close the Display settings window.
Restart your device if need be.

If you still have an issue, please add a screenshot and provide more details.

A Right click on some empty space of the windows screen should give a display settings option.

display setting does not seem to be the issue. I tried various percentages; with that on my 4k monitor the various windows just change their size on screen, but the Avast-firewall pop-up window itself, not matter at which screen setting, does not change its content/amount of information.

Only the first few letters of the path (of the calling program), the local address, the remote address are displayed because it is too small a window which I cannot resize.

And, sorry, I seem to be incapable of providing the screenshot - the "Insert Image" button for the post just gives me the "" text, and I find not way to provide an image for a post.

I know with your 4k screen are generally smaller, my 15.6" laptop has a 1920x1080 pixel screen and the recommended Scale and Layout of 125% otherwise things are too small.

How big is your 4k screen (in inches) as that too might need adjustment.

my screen is 32" (used a lot for photos), and I tried various resolutions, text sizes, "percentages". To no effect on the properties of the AVAST pop-up window.

One snapshot attached. As mentioned, I'd like to read the full information the firewall tells me.

OK, I don't use the Avast Firewall so I can't be more help if what you tried isn't working.

What happens if you click on the Weniger Details button, or does that give more information but is still compressed by the window size ?

Outside of that hopefully r@vast can get back to the topic.

The "Weniger Details" just changes to a smaller window in vertical size, with less lines of information.

The width of this window seems fixed, thus hiding part of the information.

Whilst this isn't an immediate resolution to the problem, it could also draw attention to the Avast UI on Hi Resolution screens like yours.

If you Right click on the Avast Tray Icon and Select About Avast, on the window that is displayed, there is a Submit Feedback button.  You could report the failings you are experiencing with the 4k resolution screen.

I have always disliked this style of user interface for its fixed window sizes, why they can't be resized by the user (to suit their needs) is beyond me.  For me it is different Large window with an abundance of empty space, I would make the UI smaller.

I thought it might be a bit optimistic.

What I can't really see as to why the Windows display settings won't let you change the recommended Scale and Layout.  That has been a function in Windows for many many years.  Anything in your graphics card control panel/settings ?

seems my feedback re scaling was not clear ->  my display settings, scaling, fontsize work fine.

The AVAST popup window also scales fine according to the settings when I change that; but its content, the amount of information, does not get more, whatever the scaling. And this popup can't be resized to become wide enough, in order to display more/all information.

So I do blame the AVAST popup window for its poor coding; its lack of sizeability.
And ... maybe I still miss something ;(

You could try this https://support.avast.com/en-ww/contact/ and select the most relevant option, which I would think is 'Technical support for a paid Avast product' and click the Next button.

Now Windows (pre-selected) and Avast Premium Security (there are some FAQs but I doubt anything specific and totally unrelated) and the Next button.

Now it is select Chat or Email and complete your order information and the issue information.
