My problem: Avast won't update virus definitions. It states "Virus definitions are outdated," and provides me with an "Update Now" button. However, ever time I click on this, Avast searches for HOURS without ever connecting to the virus definitions to update them. Never had a problem with this before. Avast always did this automatically. I have no problem connecting to the internet (using multiple browsers), and this had been going on for days. Anyone have any ideas what is going on here (or better yet, a fix!) Many thanks.
