AVAST mdmp files
« on: June 09, 2020, 08:07:12 PM »
Hello. We have Avast on a server, and since january, there are 450,000 .mdmp files in the ProgramData\Avast folder. That can't be normal. It was nearly 300GB of files. I'm in the process of deleting them now, but shouldn't they delete on their own? Also, there are 4 or 5 dump files about every minute. I've tried the repair app option,  but have not restarted yet so as to know its effect. When the deleting is done, I'll do that. Any suggestions would be awesome!

Well keeping&submitting one of them would be a good idea - otherwise it's impossible to say what's going on.

I have the same issue. Almost 600,000 .mdmp files.

I have attached a file as an example. Note that this site will not let me upload .mdmp files so I have changed it to a .txt files, but it is not actually text files.

Any idea what is causing this?

We are running Windows Server 2012.
