I can no longer click links in email messages

I am not sure if it is because of Avast Cleanup, but that is the last thing that I know altered my registry.

All of a sudden, when I click a link in an email, I get the message "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions on this computer."

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I think it was not avast the caused my problem, but a new install of Firefox. 
problem fixed; please ignore this message.
