This morning avast pemium, it has detected an "idp" virus and I have given the option "move to trunk" more than two hours ago and it has not finished. Can I restart my pc?

IDP is Intrusion Detection Protection, so without information (a screenshot might have helped) it is hard to say if this is a file or an internet location.

That said I can't see this taking more than two hours.
Are you able to open the Avast Virus Chest using the avast Tray Icon right click option ?
If so can you see what it was ?

You may have little in the way of options but to restart the system.
Before you do that you could try pausing the virus shields from the tray icon and restarting them and see if that has any effect.

"SppExtComObjPatcher.exe" infected IDP.GENERIC
Avast detects the same infected file in each scan. I am sending it to the virus trunk and it continues to appear in subsequent analyzes

Yes, can I say avast to skip that file? Or should I delete the file and uninstall the office?
thanks
