Avast blocked all incoming mail on Outlook

Hi I purchased Avast and it is blocking all mails on Outlook. Incoming mails are being blocked on POP. I turned off the email shield and the emails came in asap. What is the change in settings to ensure i can use the email shield and also get mails on my outlook?
