Avast secure browser keeps asking for google calendar 2 step authentication login.

It doesn't happen on Chrome. I have done a heap of cookie checking, clearing and restarting but to no avail. Can someone help me?

Hi simonwaller64,

can you please help me to understand the issue better, maybe with some pictures or video?

Also can you please share your Diagnostic information?
1. Open the browser and click on the menu icon (3 dots in upright corner)
2. Click on “Help and About Avast Secure Browser” and then “About Avast Secure Browser”
3. Click on “Diagnostic Information” (this will open a pop-up window)
4. Click the “COPY TO CLIPBOARD” button to capture the information and paste it here.

Thank you

When I open google calendar in Avast secure web browser I am asked to login via two step authentication. I have checked the Box "don't ask me again on this computer". Before last week Monday 15th June this never happened. When I shut the browser down and restart it I am asked again. I have checked settings for removal of cookies when Avast secure browser shuts down and that is not selected. The setting are essentially the exact same settings as google chrome but it does not ask me to login to the calendar with two step authentication ( a message sent to my phone).

I have followed various threads suggesting it is cookies but all my setting are as they suggest.

Avast secure browser has become painful to use because of this and I have switched back to google chrome until I can get this sorted.

Hello simonwaller64,

There could be a problem with a cookie. but I'm not quite sure. You could try to delete manually all cookies (secure://settings/clearBrowserData  --> Time range: "All time"). Then all login data must be re-entered, including 2 factor authorization. If the problem persists afterwards, you can report back here.

Thank you  :)
