Repeated welcome after update to Avast 20.5

Is it me going mad or is Avast really insisting on repeatedly praising its latest features at each startup?

I have seen it once only after restart, but then again I don't do a lot of restarts on my laptop, only after something that requires a restart (not just the AV).

If I remember correctly I think there been a couple of others reporting this in the forums.

Thanks David.  Numpty users would not benefit from it.

Is it this you are talking about?

I saw it one more time than I expected so far.
If in doubt do a Restart. Then maybe another Restart for good measure. Seems to be a good idea after every Avast version update in recent time.

That was certainly one of them, I recall another which was a little longer, but I could be wrong.

Avast's advertising department seems determined to entrap users into unwanted 'upgrades'  At a time like in this pandemic, anything which increases the risk of malfunctions of users' computers is a very thoughtless and potentially damaging act.
