Microsoft Edge exploit controls
« on: July 05, 2020, 06:23:16 PM »
To attempt to have a successful install of Avast Free Antivirus, I booted in SAFE MODE and had a window open to say that for Browser Integrity reasons, I could not install the down load I was trying to install, but another previous one installed.   The Microsoft Edge Browser, EXPLOIT, settings are set to ON as default.   Windows Defender first tried to block my download when I used Microsoft Edge, and I downloaded it anyway.

There is an EXPLOIT, issue concerning AVAST Free Antivirus, with my new Windows 10 version
2004.   The newest version, blocks Avast.

What is a body supposed to do? https://forum.avast.com/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif

What was used to install Avast on-line or off-line installation file ?
I suspect on-line and would suggest the on-line installation file, see https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=235204.0 for a download link.

What was the purpose of booting into safe mode ?
There should be no requirement to do that in the installation, a reboot would be required only.  Windows when a 3rd party antivirus is installed it should set Defender to on-demand only.
