I purchased Avast Premium Security 5 Pack from Amazon. This is the link to the product: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0765CYPKK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

When I try to login into Amazon digital purchases, my browser crashes. I have all the keys and everything, but the purchase does not show up under my profile on Avast.

Since I use one of the licenses for a virtual machine, I would like to be able to manage that license so I don't waste it. Is there a way to transfer ownership/management to the Avast website?

I'm not sure if it will show under your avast profile as it wasn't purchased through the Avast website.

Purchasing on-line is a risky business as you don't know if the seller is an authorised Avast reseller or not.  There is also the possibility that you aren't purchasing genuine Avast product, but a cracked license, that could be invalidated.

That purchase link is reporting the product is Currently unavailable.  I also didn't see anything there as to who was selling it to attempt to see if this person was an authorised Avast reseller.

Hi,

Some of our official resellers are selling codes through websites like Amazon.
Could you please send me your activation code via PM and I will check it.
Please note that licenses that are not purchased via our website won't be visible in your my.avast.com account.
We plan on adding this feature to the account in the future.

Hi Guys, the vendor on Amazon is "Avast" and when I purchased it, I did it through an offer that (I think, it's been a while) came through the avast website. The offer was limited time only and I made the purchase after the time expired, but since it was in my cart, it let me proceed with the purchase and everything seems legit.

Of course, it would not be hard to set up shop as "Avast!" on Amazon, but also not the smartest idea since Amazon protects trademarks aggressively if alerted. The link to the shop is:
https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/76EC810B-8AFB-4B27-B1B1-E832943ADA09?store_ref=SB_A01016067WQ60AEZ48E3&pf_rd_p=0695bfd4-f098-403d-ad0f-7db64c30b506&aaxitk=nkqWAmuSfdfRehuV5e38DA&hsa_cr_id=5515445280401&lp_mat_key=avast&lp_query=Avast!&lp_slot=auto-sparkle-hsa-tetris&ref_=sbx_be_s_sparkle_nafd_cta

Also, if one clicks on the shop name in the product, it does sell avast products, just not the one that I purchased as it was marked as a limited time promotion.

In general, the reason I posted is because something is up with Amazon digital purchases interface. Not just the Avast one. I can't reach any of my Amazon digital purchases at the moment (I least I couldn't back when I tried).

I will send the code for the software via PM to the moderator. If there is a fraudulent vendor on Amazon using the Avast name, they should know, but also I should point out that I reached that offer from the Avast website. Surely, they could have faked that too, as it's not unheard of with companies like Avast to have multiple subdomains, so a scammer could count on that to create an avast.fakedomain.com off some legitimate looking ad.

In any event, it sounds like Avast has not connected licensing management from third parties with their local one, so even if the offer was legitimate, I'd be in the same situation.
Namely, I have used one of the licenses on a Virtual Machine but I need to transfer it to another virtual machine and I need to see an interface where I can see where my licenses are installed and reuse one of them.

Thanks again.

If by moderator do you mean r@vast, who is a genuine Avast Team member who requested you PM him.

Yes, I wanted to PM the code to r@vast, but I can't. I am getting a "you cannot access this page" alert.
How do I message the Avast account? I don't want to publish my Key in plain text.

There used to be a restriction in using the PM function until you had a certain number of posts (that used to be 20, no longer a newbie), but I thought that had been reduced if not removed.

Did you use the little PM icon next to his post (see attached image)  ?

Or you could try the email icon next to it and see if that works, but I rather think the restriction would be the same.
