Given what avast! went through not long ago and I remember seeing a dialog where you agree or disagree with data collection during installation of avast!, I've been fiddling with it again not long ago and during install, I haven't seen a popup for it anymore.

Has anything changed regarding that so that it's not needed anymore? Or does avast! detect somehow about user seeing it once and not showing it anymore on installs and reinstalls on same systems? It just seems weird how Kaspersky always asks me on every install 3 times for 3 different things where avast! doesn't at all. I know where to go after each install of avast! to turn it all off, but it's odd that it's not displayed as an agreement dialog that I have seen before.

How is with that now and what has changed since?

@ RejZoR

I hadn't noticed that, but then again I haven't done a clean install for some time.  Though the Personally Privacy section is still in the Avast Settings.

It would be interesting to see what the default settings are as I have mine all unchecked.  That said there doesn't appear to be anything going outside Avast.

EDIT: Typo

The default is everything ticked when doing clean install and I don't see any popup during install.

Also, why do you have CommunityIQ disabled? Not having that enabled means cloud protection doesn't even function without that. It's been like this since I can remember and I don't think they've changed it since.

Probably just an overzealous reaction to the initial privacy storm ;)
