Today my android avast reported the workout program "Just 6 weeks" (Pro) as malware "Android:Fakeapp-QS [Fake]".
I've had this program for a while and I paid for the pro version, so I think it's unlikely that this is a fake program. But I'm not entirely sure, and let's face it: it's not impossible.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app through the Play Store (I never install from outside the play store) to see what the Google PlayProtect says, and it reports no issues; avast on the other hand immediately pops up the malware warning.
I've googled, searched the app reviews and looked for anything I could think of online, but even just looking for "Fakeapp-QS" brought a google search notification saying "It looks like there aren't any great matches for your search". So I couldn't find anything verifying that this is indeed malware.
Does anyone have experience with this kind of issue? Should I report a false positive (which I can't be entirely sure of)?
