There was an upgrade done earlier today and now the new SecureLine screen looks jarring in comparison to the Antivirus screen it's launched from, and in comparison to its previous incarnation. It has a purplish background and the text looks fuzzy against it ... it set off my SpideySense ... almost like when you accidently visit a website that's a fake and malicious but crafted to look like something official.
Can someone at Avast assure me this is indeed the genuine article as opposed to my having been hacked or something? I have absolutely no earthly idea why anyone at Avast thought this was a good idea. Why spook your customer base unnecessarily?
