Red/green colorblindness & inability to see Avast checkboxes

I, along with a fair percentage of the adult male population have some red/green colorblindness. I simply cannot see whether the various checkboxes/options/etc are checked or not. This is in Avast Premium Security 20.5.

Is there an option to change colors or themes that I'm missing?

Not that I'm aware of - I have tried to draw some Avast attention to your topic.

Sorry for a possibly stupid question, but it's a bit hard for me to imagine (I tried some visualizations and I'm still not sure what exactly the problem is - or possibly what checkboxes in particular are we talking about).
So - with red/green colorblindness, you don't see the (green) checkbox on the dark grey background in Avast? (is the difference in brightness too small, i.e. is the green to dark or grey too bright)? What changes would make it better?

I too wondered about that and looking at my own settings on a 1080P 15.6" laptop the check boxes are quite small and subsequently the actual check marks even smaller. 

I think choosing a colour that is more contrasting to the dark background, like Yellow rather than trying to find a shard of Green or Red that might suit the OP.  This however might not suit others with Red/Green colour-blindness. 

A change to a yellow check mark, wouldn't entail a change of the background colour and give reasonable contrast.

The "checked" checkboxes seem to have a very slight orange cast to them. I don't see a checkmark at all. The coloring is so faint that it's hard to tell if it's checked or not. I <think> that yellow would be fine for anyone with my particular type of colorblindness. (It would be perfect for me.) Thank you for looking into this!
