Sorry that has nothing to do with security.  Even with Cloud Storage, which there free and paid options already out there.  They also cost money to source server space, etc. and 25GB isn't that large.  However when you are talking of hundreds of millions of users that is big, who is going to pay for that.

Fortunately I'm not the one who would decide on this, just an avast user playing devils advocate.  I don't just wish I think it through as to how much it would cost and who is to pay for this service if it were ever to be considered.

As already stated, Cloud storage has nothing to do with security.
There are many choices if you're interested. If you're using Office 365, you already have 1 TB.

Hello,
I would like to suggest a new feature.
I suggest that Avast Ransomware Shield protect all files, not just specific file types.
At least Avast should provide the option to enable this feature.
All files inside a folder are important and it is impractical to keep track of which file types are in the protected folders.

Thanks.

I think the new firewall should be better.

Avast Firewall does not warn the user when someone is scanning the ports of the computer. Probably a bug or something.

We should be able to add files manually to the sensitive data shield.

We should be able to see the CommunityIQ current threat statistics.

Avast had its own password manager before. It was an okay product but I think it should come back. I read all the problem with Avast's old password manager and why it is tactically bad. But you may want to add the password manager feature with Avast Breachguard. Yall were also talking about that too. It would be really great.

I am only a Jr. Member but I agree with TheOwner.  Avast is way too busy.  The UI takes way too long to load and show up in my system tray.  Nobody there thinks that this is an issue. Why? Because they all have $$$$ and can afford systems with lots of RAM and terabytes of HD space!  This isn't why people want or need an antivirus program. Hell, why even buy one - just cut your internet connection!  I can't do anything with my machine until the UI finally shows up.  I have done ALL of your suggestions!!!!  Fix what you have first!  Stop adding to this boat anchor of a program!  Writing good code means dotting all of your "i's" and crossing all of your "t's".  You didn't do this here!

Showing up on the system tray and being active are two totally different entities.
Avast is resident very early on in the boot process protecting your system.
The UI is probably at the end of the process because it really isn't that important to access the UI.
I usually never open the UI unless I'm answering a question.

We agree that the firewall should be strengthened and also in the free version add some security features for example enable protection against port scan attacks.
Thank you and good day!

I also suggest adding a courtesy page (same as the one activated with the Avast Security On Line browser extension) when accessing a dangerous website... the white error page is not nice...
Thank you and good day!

For the free version, remove the nagware... They're useless anyway!
If you want, switch to the paid version, otherwise stay with the free one. ;)
Thank you and good day!

Good morning AVAST people, I would like, if AVAST had the progress bar in the update, it was again marking the percentage of how much is left to finish and the amount of MB left to finish this information would be of high value, very important because in the way I don't know if it's downloading, I only see a line moving, and that's bad.
OS: Windows 10 PRO / Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU 2.60 GHz.

The amount of fill on that line tells you how far the installation has progressed.
If the bar stops moving, that's when I would have a problem.
