New Beta version 20.2.921
« on: November 10, 2020, 12:48:16 PM »
Hello everyone,

New Beta version of Avast Driver Updater product is now available in Beta (20.2.921)!

What's new in Avast Driver Updater product?
  • Over 7,000,000 drivers: We have a much larger database of drivers than in the previous version.
  • Windows System Restore Points are now automatically created with every updated driver.
  • Now you can restart just once for all your new updates (instead of a special restart for each new driver that asks for it).
  • Your first scan after restarting won't change much, but your scans after this one will be much faster than before.
  • We cleaned up the update process to make it smoother and easier to navigate.
  • We fixed several errors reported by you, including the 'this is embarrassing' screen after updates and restarts.

How can you help?
  • Download the Beta version: https://honzik.avcdn.net/setup/avast-du/beta/avast_driver_updater_online_setup.exe.
  • Execute the installation package and go through the wizard to install the product.
  • The product shall guide you or you can freely navigate through it and try it on your own to see how it works.
  • Please try as much features as you can to see how they work and check whether there are any bugs or unexpected behavior.
  • If you find any bugs during testing, please create a new thread in this forum section.
  • Please provide us also with feedback about what you like most and what you would change.
  • Since we aim to deliver the best Driver Updater product - would you add anything that is missing? Do not hesitate to share your feedback!

Known issues
  • Reverting the drivers is not very user friendly, we know about the problem and working on a better solution.

Thank you & enjoy the beta testing!
AVAST Team.

Hi, while testing the beta, I got 3 drivers that won't update - no matter what.
While ADU says successful, they always show up again after a new ADU scan.
Let me know if you would want/need any logs... (Screenshots attached)

The update wipes out my Realtek sound drivers.
The only thing I'm left with are my USB devices.
