Avast SecureLine VPN
« on: July 19, 2020, 11:28:47 AM »
Hi guys! It's been a bloody long time since I have been here. How's everyone doing? Hope all of you are keeping yourself safe due to the current pandemic. It's about time since an Antivirus released it's own stand alone VPN. Since I use Trend Micro as my right choice of protecting my computer I have downloaded their standalone VPN via Microsoft Store and I am telling you it's not straight forward at all and it's confusing, even after installing it I was having issues on activating it so I uninstalled it and moved on. I still have my love & heart feelings for Avast  :). So I thought why not try Avast SecureLine VPN for a free trail. Downloaded and installed and everything went like feathers and I am freaking loving it  :)

I went to see other third party like NordVPN and Express VPN and etc, but I thought why not trust the programs that I trust the most i.e. Avast. Avast you haven't let me down one single bit. Anyways, since now it's my first time using a fantastic VPN I have a question. I don't know if it's a good or bad or worse question i.e. any question is always a question and you learn from it :). Alright so here it goes my question

I open up Avast SecureLine VPN and on the top right hand corner I click on Menu> My Licenses> Subscription on this PC i can see that I can "Buy Now". Once I click on Buy Now, i get three options 1 year license NZ$3.99/month billed NZ$47.88/year, 2 year license NZ$3.89/month billed NZ$93.36/2years, and 3 year license NZ$3.79/month billed NZ$136/44/3 years.

My question is do I get billed yearly?

Have a wonderful day and good night  :)

You're welcome.

By the way. I activated it by doing the following. I clicked on Menu> My Licenses> Subscription on this PC> Buy license. I then filled up the details. After that I got an email confirmation and it contained a activation code. I then went to the Avast Secure Line VPN GUI and i clicked on "Enter a valid activiation code". I then typed the activation code that was given to me via my email and i entered the activation code. Under the Subscription on this PC it shows me renewal date: July 5, 2021 along with my activation code.

Is that the way to activate this product or do I have to do more?

Thanks. One more question, how does Avast SecureLine VPN do an update. Does it do everything automatically?
