Behavior shield problem no warning
« on: July 29, 2020, 02:40:53 PM »
When I boot the computer or restart on occasions, Web shield fails to start.
But I get no warning in Avast Icon or Gui.
So now I have to manually check to see if Web shield is on.

I find this very concerning that I get no warning as this is a core shield.

Window 10 pro version 2004  Build 19041 .388 .

Avast Premier version 20.52415  Build 20.5.5410.586.

Repair Avast:
Open the Avast User Interface > Menu > Settings > Troubleshooting > Repair App. > Restart the Computer or,
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

Thanks for your assistance bob3160.

I tried a repair and uninstalling, and i also used avast uninstall utility to clear any left overs. When I first noticed this problem.

Made no difference.

And, you've Re-started your computer 1 or 2 times?
Not shut down and start but actual re-starts.

I haven't had that problem for quite some time and the problem was addressed and fixed.
the next step would be submitting a support package.
