I bet you can't wait to see my new, beauty, OSX style based skin, named "O-Stix-kin"...

Yeah, it's completely finished and ready for publishing... I sent it few hours ago to Vlk and M.Novak, so I hope they'll publish it soon... maybe, first thing next week.

Cheers !

Easy Manual Banner Ad Blocking
« Reply #62 on: May 10, 2004, 12:36:41 AM »
One great feature of Mozilla Firefox 0.8 is the ad blocking features.  The one I use most is the banner ad blocker.

See a banner ad you never want to see again.   Just right click and select :

       Block Images from  junkbanner.wastedbandwidth.biz

This is a huge benefit when you're only on 56k plus it saves you digging into:

      WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

and inserting:

        127.0.0.1        junkbanner.wastedbandwidth.biz

Firefox is pretty good.   My problem with MYIE2 is that it fails to render some screen elements.  A major screen element is omitted from my internet banking website by MyIE2 so I stopped using it.  I do miss the mouse gestures though.

Dear Sasha,
Thanks for posting that picture. Your right, those where the good old days. Do you remember using that cassette player for storage?  It took so long to find a program if it happened to be at the end of the tape.
We might not have beeen able to do multi-tasking but, with 3K of memory, it was one fantastic computer.  It had one of the best sound chips built right in.... ::)

Yeah... sound chips... tell me about it. I also compose techno, trance and chill-out music in my spare time. I had some serious Techno Parties back in Europe. I remember when I started to make music with my Commodore 64... 4 channel sound processor, something unbelievable for those days. Today I use 128 channel generators on my PC and few synthesizers, rhythm machines and sequencers. But, for sure, it's nice to remember those old days...

Sasha,
If you remember, some of the songs that you could download came with right and left channel so that those of us lucky enough to have two commodore 64's, could hear the songs in stereo.

( Commodore 64 is not a new 64bit computer....    It's an old computer and, it had 64k of onboard memory.)   Amazing

Since this is about myIE2, yes, I do use it but becareful what extras you add. Some of them might not be desirable.
My default Browser is however set to Green Browser.
You might want to check it out :
