I performed two full system scans, one over night and one this morning.  Both times i get "Stopping Scan" before completing search for hidden threats at 99%.  I did a boot time scan and no infected files were found. However during the scan a large number of Error 42110 (the file is a decompression bomb) messages in connection with: Krita, Digital Combat Simulations, Armored Warfair, and Hearts of Iron IV, all of which I thought were reliable programs, especially off of Steam.  Am I infected or is something else going on here :-[

In regard to the "However during the scan a large number of Error 42110 (the file is a decompression bomb) messages" comment.
- Decompression Bomb, a file that is highly compressed, which could be very large when decompressed. This used to be a tactic long ago to swamp the system.

The name really is the most dangerous thing about this and I wish they would change it or simply not report it, a real PITA.

These highly compressed files are generally 'archive' files which are inert, don't present an immediate risk until they are unpacked. If you happen to select 'All packers' in your on-demand scans then you are more likely to come across this type of thing. Personally it is a waste of time scanning 'all packers' and that is why it isn't enabled by default.

I can only assume that you have changed the default settings for the Full System Scan ?
As zip, compressed files ordinarily wouldn't be scanned, unless they are self-extracting executable files.  But I don't know if this would result in the scan stopping unless it is getting bogged down so exits the scan.

Apparently the user thought that posting the same question twice is the way to go.
It's not, it causes twice the work. For future reference, Ask you question once and wait for a reply.
