Unable To Delete Invalid Autofill Entry
« on: August 09, 2020, 11:46:16 PM »
********************ATTN PROGRAMMERS AND DEVELOPERS - PLEASE UPDATE THE AUTOFILL SETTINGS********************
I entered characters incorrectly and couldn't determine how to delete them.  I would have thought there would be an X at the right side of the drop-down, similar to browser search entries.
I opened 'Settings' and looked at 'Autofill' section. When I turn 'Autofill' to 'On', my email address is displayed, but the invalid entry does not. I don't want anything except my email and address info to populate. I would never store passwords or card information, as if you're hacked, the hackers may be able to obtain the info. An easy fix would be for the Avast developers to either add a 'Delete' function to the settings, or an 'X' to the far right in the autofill drop-down.

From what I've seen, Avast and Google are the worst when it comes to responding to user feedback and comments. They also don't have a user friendly method for providing bugs and feedback. This Avast Forum seems tired, and reminds me of Craigslist if you compare it to any other online selling tool. Microsoft has a 'Feedback Forum' and there are loads of items I've seen where the user feedback was taken seriously and bugs were fixed and enhancements added.

I realize they are bombarded by thousands of requests, but if they aren't able to respond to and complete user requests, maybe they need to think about hiring additional Programmers and Web Developers.

Entered characters where? What program? What drop down menu?
We aren't sitting in front of your computer so it's up to you to give us something to work with.
Can't help without your help. :)
Screenshots would be great.
