Apologies chaps for the delayed response & thanks for your replies. Just been rather busy recently.
Anyway here is a couple more screenshots now, one showing the pop up I get.
Having done a little more reading I think I may have a grip of the situation now, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
Since the recent update it appears that Wifi Inspector is set as default to automatically scan networks & automatically selects what sort of network (Home or Public) that you are on??
The pop up still appears every day giving me the option to select what network I want to scan but whichever I select ends up with the "Feeling disconnected" screen which is totally non-functional!
I am getting notifications that scans have been done & history also shows the same.
Now here my ignorance comes to the fore as I'm not sure 100% what my setup is to be perfectly honest & networks have always confused me but I will explain & hopefully learn how best I should be setup.
I work from home & have 1 router which is connected to 1/ Sonos Speaker 2/ TP-Link AV600 Powerline 3/ Edimax Gig network switch, to which I have various bits of equipment connected, 1 pc, desktop printer, large format digital printer, WD Mycloud Ext. Drive.
I presume I would class this as a "Home Network"? But why does Avast wifi inspector do a more thorough scan on a home network than a public network?? Surely a public network is more dangerous?
The only issue that is usually flagged by the inspector is my large printer despite having changed the user name & password it still sees it as vulnerable for some reason.
There! I now look like a complete idiot & look forward to any help with improving my setup
