Avast BreachGuard
« on: August 20, 2020, 10:20:09 PM »
Just purchased BreachGuard and noticed that there are currently no help pages listed under https://support.avast.com/en-ww help pages.  Why??  Also in the forums there are no dedicated pages for this product.  ALSO once I managed to find an FAQ (NOT easy to find btw!!) it said this:

How can I learn about recent data breaches?
The News section on the Avast BreachGuard dashboard contains articles to keep you informed about recent data breaches. Each article includes the following information:

Which company was breached
When the breach occurred
What data was exposed
How many users were affected
The response to the breach

I looked on the "dashboard" and there is NO area that says "News"!! Not in the "Menu" or Notifications (see 2nd attachment)

So far, this product is not giving me a warm feeling and is not user-friendly.  In fact it seems very generic!  I would have thought once downloaded it would be integrated into my Avast Premium Security under "Protection" or "Privacy" like my Avast SecureLine VPN was.

Lastly, I needed to reboot my PC and I noticed that when I went back to BreachGuard under "Risk Monitor", I saw a number of "High potential Risks" that I ALREADY addressed earlier!  Why do I then have to repeat "Already changed my password" when I already did that??  Why did it not remember?  That wastes a lot of time!

Please address and advise on these concerns/questions please.

Thank you

Same here!!!!!  Also after it detected certain passwords or weak passwords I changed all of them but BreachGuard keeps bringing those old notifications back and I have to keep clicking on "already changed password" over and over and it does not remember the next time I use the app!!!  I need a moderator or developer to comment asap!!

Thanks but I already saw that URL.  Did not help me in the issue above unfortunately.  One day I "fix" all the threats and the "Privacy Level" goes to 100%.  Then the next day or two I look and the "Privacy Level" is back again to 69% and shows 22 privacy threats which are the SAME EXACT ones I already changed several weeks ago!!  I need to know why BreachGuard is not retaining the memory that these were already changed/corrected before I request a refund :(

Sorry that wasn't helpful, I'm an Avast Free user and don't use the Avast BreachGuard, so it isn't something I'm familiar with.
