I am sick of reloading Windows 10.

Hello,
I am running Windows 10 pro.
I installed Avast Premium Security.
I have a virus & Avast finds it but for whatever reason it cannot get rid of it.
I think that it might be in my USB cooling tray because when ever I connect it to my laptop makes a terrible sound like it about to explode.
I am afraid I might just have to throw it away & reload windows all over again.
Can I please send my anti virus scan history, please tell me how.
Is there a online scanner that I can use to see if that can get rid of it?
