Cleanup running while gaming - add gaming mode detection
« on: August 22, 2020, 05:29:54 PM »
Hi,

Cleanup is running while gaming. I would highly suggest that application which are added to Do not distrurb mode in Avast Premium Security, would disable running cleanup service in background.

It takes up to 20% CPU power while running, which is unacceptable when running high performance application.

Cheers

Hi,

it is a very valid point and thank you for that, we will consider a feature like that in the upcoming versions.
In the meantime we are working on a settings which will allow you to completely disable the product while you are not working with it directly (when the product is not opened) which might also serve you in this case as a kind of workaround to make sure that Cleanup won't consume any resources while you're gaming.

Thank you.
