Exporting AP question

I have been using the Avast Password app for Mac on various computers and my iPad etc. for quite some time. Love the thing. I know the deal about the suspension at the moment and the possibility of something coming down the pike but we are in a holding pattern it seems?

I am trying Last Pass out as an alternative. Free version I don’t want to pay a subscription. I need an alternative in case A.P. goes south completely.

It seems I can ONLY export the Avast Passwords to a .json (java script) file?

I cannot seem to import a .json file into Last Pass?? And LP does not offer an import option for AP.

So what do I do??

Lastly … any recommendations for an alternative to AP?? I've seen LP mentioned in some threads here so that's why I am trying it. I don’t mind paying a one time fee for a password app I just don’t want a subscription anything. If the LP free version is good enough I would stay with it but I need to find a way to export/import from AP.
