how do i open ports for emule in the "avast"?

avast is not a firewall and won't block High ID of emule.
Do you use a router to connect the Internet? This is a hardware that requires configuration while using emule  ;)

avast scans and protect your computer while using emule (the IM provider of avast scans the downloads of emule).
But avast don't 'block' emule for sure...

i have a router.
So you have to forward ports 4662 (TCP protocol) and 4672 (UDP protocol) of your router to your computer to receive a HIGH ID.
