Avast stopping certain functionality on PC

I have a problem with multiple machines across different companies where they cannot access their start menu and search bar on the toolbar and also cannot load outlook. This is definitely a problem with avast because when avast agent is uninstalled these features start working again and when reinstalled the issue returns even after a restart.

Is anyone else having these issues as it doesn't make sense that multiple clients would have the same issue if there wasn't a more widespread issue.
