Must enter Master Password at every re-boot ??

For the past week or two I have had to enter my Master Password every day when I first start up my PC. For the past 5 years or so that I have been using Avast Passwprds, I never had to do that.  What caused it to start asking me to enter it every day and how can I set it to not do it ?

I have never used password manager but since the latest upgrade, I have to re-enter passwords to all my frequently used sites - and this happens everytime Avast updates which is sometimes more than once a day.  (I have Avast Premium clean-up)

You have subscriptions for both Avast Cleanup Premium and Avast Premium Security.
Could you please clarify, after the update of which application do you notice this issue?
Could you also clarify where (which application) you have to re-enter passwords?

I assume it's after a a virus definitions update because I turned that to "ask me" instead of automatic and was getting requests throughout the day.  The premium cleanup usually happens at night or first thing in the morning.

I have to log in with emails each day to Microsoft mail (hotmail), Facebook. and Amazon - is this a problem with Edge?

Hi, This could be an issue with Edge. Perhaps you can try to use a different browser and see if the same issue occurs.

Since you have Cleanup, you can also have a look at your "Automatic Maintenance" settings (if you have it turned on).

Hi,

By default, updates are done automatically.
You can, of course, change the settings. Please see this guide:https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Update-Antivirus/

Concerning your original post, could you please check your Avast Passwords Security settings and see which one you have enabled?
Open Avast Premium Security > Click on Privacy > Passwords > Settings >Security

Sorry for the delay but I have not gotten email notifications of a reply to this original post.

I just checked the Security setting as you suggested and none of the settings were checked. I don't ever remember even going to that area of the app.

I should have mentioned that during the past week, when I powered up in the mornings, on 2 or 3 days Passwords actually turned on automatically as you always used to do,. but today and 2 days ago it did not.

If you look at the settings, you'll see that once every 24 hrs you need to re-enter your password.

How do I get to the Pop-Up you show?  I can only get to Settings/Passwords and the only thing beyond that is a button to create a Password.

Open the Avast Passwords User Interface to get to the apps settings.
