intetegration with ApexDC++ 0.22 (and other p2p)
« on: September 26, 2006, 02:28:27 PM »
Dear forum, dear alanrf,

After reading carefully the nice explanation alanrf and others give about Torpark I'm wondering if I can direct avast! to check ApexDC traffic just by adding its process name and open ports to the avast4.ini file.

avast! by default have a module dedicated to p2p applications, what would be the best way to add avast! protection to Apex ??

Thanks in advance  :)
Best!!

IM provider does not allow the same configurability than WebShield.
I don't think it's possible to 'add' an application to IM provider.
Or a 'similar' application enabled could make IM provider scans your downloaded files or you won't have it working at all.
Standard Shield or ashQuick.exe could protect you in this case.

Martin... not a software is perfect...
If you want to use ApexDC++, maybe you can post at the avast! Wishlist your desire.
Anyway, remember...

Standard Shield or ashQuick.exe could protect you in this case.
