« on: September 15, 2020, 12:20:21 PM »
I may be mistaken but the below password is far but being very weak.

I tried it in a password tester

 Time to crack your password:
15 centuries
Review: Fantastic, using that password makes you as secure as Fort Knox.

i usually use 15 characters. just checked a few of mine and ive found 1 that has 15 upper and lower letters and that also say very weak.

Personally I tend not to use password checkers as I'm a trusting sort (NOT) even Avast's checker.

Well the old password is definitely considered weak now you have posted an image of it :)

So long as you a mixture of numbers, characters (upper and lowercase) and the odd special character of a reasonable length 12 or above should be fine.  Leaving out numbers greatly reduces the strength, leaving out special characters (just look how many there are, bt some sites won't allow them) also reduces the strength, reducing the computing power/time to do a brute force crack.

You can also use a random password generator, most browsers can do that for you and save them securely, so no fear of forgetting them.

Secure Passphrase Generator
https://untroubled.org/pwgen/ppgen.cgi?wordcount=3&minlen=1&maxlen=8&randcaps=first&numlen=2&submit=Generate+Passphrase

Not bad even without special characters, it can be beefed up in the settings.

Though you have to save it securely somewhere and if you're a trusting sort NOT you have to take their word it isn't stored.  I have no doubt that they don't as how would they somehow identify the user as no email is required, etc.

OK, you asked for it, its a weak password    :(

Joking aside, this is just another reason I tend not to use these password checkers, etc. and stick to the general outline I mentioned on creating strong passwords.
