update error

Hi there,

The last two days I have received an error-message from avast saying that there has been an error while updating. I have tried to update "manually" - and that worked without problems.
The logfile looks as follows:

Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x20000004, dwRes is 20000004.

An error has occured while attempting to update. Please check the logs.

SYSTEM   1300   Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x20000004, dwRes is 20000004.

Can anyone explain this - and tell me what to do???

Can you do a manual update, right click the avast icon, Updating, iAVS Update ?

What is your internet connection method, broadband, dial-up, etc. ?
When does this happen, directly after boot, when ?
Check the about avast Registration Key information and ensure your Updates expiration date is still in date.
