Import .txt Kaspersky to .json
« on: September 20, 2020, 09:06:08 AM »
Hello

Can  someone please tell me if it's possible to import from Kaspersky password manager? I have been using KMP for about 4-5 years. I have exported the password, but only output possible is in .txt and import of password from Avast is in .json format.

How to convert .txt to .json? I know that notepad+ plus can be used, but I do not know what parameters are needed for the conversion?

Is there another way? I have 1000+ password for over 10+ years.

Thanks

Christian

Hi,

Importing from a browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Avast Secure Browser, Microsoft Edge) to Avast Passwords is possible.

Hello

I have managed to convert the .txt to .json with bitwarden. It's about 700kb.

I can opened the .json file with notepad+

But when I am trying to import to avast pswd, it's saying nothing in the .json file.

I did create a .csv too and it's nothing in the .csv.

Hi,

You would have to export your passwords from your current password manager to a browser and then
import from that browser into Avast Passwords.
Please see this guide: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Export-Mozilla-Firefox-Passwords-data/
