Annoying popup
« on: September 23, 2020, 10:54:24 PM »
Note, this is NOT the renewal popup.

For some reason both computers I have protection on randomly pops up with a "This computer is protected" screen like a ghost is clicking on the tray icon.

I am on the latest program release, windows is updated, and it happens even in silent mode. I am using the paid version so it worked flawlessly up until yesterday. What gives?

Same here. I put game mode one today to play some games, and ive been interrupted 5 times! by a avast popping up to inform me that game mode is on so I can enjoy my games without interruptions. It would be ironically funny if it wastnt so damn annoying

It would be interesting to see what it would be like with Gaming Mode (Silent Mode) off and see if that is less intrusive.
Settings > General > Notifications area.

Is that game running on full screen ?

Having this issue on three computers since the last update yesterday. The homescreen ("this computer is protected/ Run smart Scan")  keeps opening every ten minutes or so. It's getting very annoying.

Not only am I experiencing this same pop-up, but the past few days I am having a popup for a split second that disappears again (every hour or so). While this isn't as intrusive, it does on the odd occasion impact the software that I am working with at the time, with operations getting stuck and I have the press Escape to reset the tool/operation.

I don't know if this might help:
With the bulid xx.599 has it stopp by me! Thanks.

Currently I'm not experiencing this (Avast Free), but my build is xx.598.  This is probably the same for most users, so I would suggest a system restart (to apply it) and see if this minor build update does have a bug fix.
