ESTIMADO AMIGO: Soy nuevo aquí, aunque tengo todos los productos Avast en Argentina desde hace 7 años. Quiero hacer una consulta por favor. No sé si es el lugar correcto. Pero, ¿qué han hecho? No todos tenemos la supercomputadora donde los últimos controladores funcionan perfectamente. Literalmente arruinó mi máquina. Antes, hacía una copia de seguridad en el lugar de mi elección y podías volver si algo no funcionaba. Incluso yo podía elegir si deseaba crear un punto de restauración de Windows para cada controlador actualizado. Ahora es "todo o nada". Si pudiera mostrar el desastre que es mi PC, no necesitaría escribir. Reinstalar Windows desde cero es molesto. Datos que ya sé que he perdido. Solo quedan los más antiguos y no los controladores intermedios que tenía. Entonces me pregunto muy tristemente: ¿Qué han hecho ... Muchas gracias y saludos.

DEAR FRIEND: I am new here, although I have had all Avast products in Argentina for 7 years. I want to make an inquiry please. I don't know if it's the right place. But what have they done? Not all of us have the supercomputer where the latest drivers work perfectly. It literally ruined my machine. Before, I would make a backup in the place of my choice and you could come back if something did not work. I could even choose if I wanted to create a Windows restore point for each updated driver. Now it is "all or nothing". If I could show what a mess my PC is, I wouldn't need to write. Reinstalling Windows from scratch is annoying. Data that I already know I have lost. Only the oldest ones remain and not the intermediate drivers you had. So I wonder very sadly: What have they done ... Thank you very much and greetings.

Es un honor saber que usas los productos de Avast desde hace 7 años. A la misma vez es una pena que la razon por la que escribo es que uno de los drivers ha dañado el sistema operativo de su computadora. Los desarrolladores en Avast nos tomamos muy en serio el valor que brindamos con nuestro trabajo, cada error es una derrota personal para cada uno de nosotros.  Como puedo distinguir en sus palabras, se que es consciente de lo peligroso que es la actualizacion de drivers. Nuestro sistema realiza una asignación inteligente de acuerdo a la infomación que el fabricante del dispositivo provee; es imposible contar con toda la información de todos los dispositivos en el mundo. Con esto quiero decir, sin librarnos completamente de culpa, que si el fabricante asigna erroneamente un identificador o no tiene en cuenta la compatibilidad con sistemas antiguos, es posible que situaciones como esta ocurran. Nuestros monitores tratan de identificar estas situaciones y realimentar la información a nuestras bases de datos lo mas rápido posible.
Pero usted puede sernos tambien de gran ayuda, si es posible y recuerda el dispositivo o el driver que estaba actualizando, yo personalmente arreglaré nuestra base de datos para que situaciones como esta no se repitan, no en su computadora, tampoco para otros usuarios como usted que confian en nuestros productos.
Ya nos encontramos planeando las siguientes versiones donde algunas mejoras en nuestro sistema harán posible una recuperacion mas fácil en el fatal caso de errores como este.
Es un placer saber que en el otro extremo estará  usted esperando por nuestros resultados.

What good is ADU when your piece starts blue screening STOP CODE screens which apparently mean a debugging is called for. How do I know which one of those nifty drivers ADU inserted are causing my system to in effect collapse? Ironically, I had no issue prior and this was to prophylactic treatment was hoped for in order to avoid "crashes"--Jesusth Christh!

Complaining isn't going to solve your problem.
Supplying some helpful information might. What OS version?
What other Security related programs are you running.

Hi,

this definitely not the intended behavior of our product and we sincerely apologize for your troubles.

In order to be able to help you I would like to ask you to send the log files so we can investigate where the problem is.

You can simply send them by executing our log collector utility from this path C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Driver Updater\dulogcollector.exe and once the logs are collected they will be automatically send to our server.
Once it is done, please let me know which email address you have used there so we can join the logs with your report here.

When it comes to the non-functional drivers (devices), please use the following steps to revert back the original drivers which should help to resolve the issues:

• Navigate into C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Driver Updater\BackupStorage where we store all the previous drivers.
• Try to identify all the drivers which might be related to your problem (e.g. look for keywords like sound, bluetooth, wireless, etc.).
• Open the product and navigate to the "Overview" where all the driver are listed.
• Search the list for the drivers you identified as problematic, click on them and select "Driver versions".
• Restore the previous driver version of each individual driver (might require PC restart).
  

I know that it is a pretty cumbersome list of steps, we are fully aware of this problem and working on a more friendly and easy to use solution.
