Avast Secure Browser Error Message
« on: October 14, 2020, 02:15:20 AM »
I have tried installing Secure Browser several times including the latest time on a fresh windows 10 install on my pc. No matter what where I try to go, a web page, settings, etc.; it gives me this error message, Error code: STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH

I'm including a jpg of the error message.
I've got Windows 10 Home 2004. The Install version of Avast secure browser is 85.0.5815.103.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi MoparManiac426,

sorry to hear you have faced issues. I've done some research and it seems this error may occur for the other browsers as well and is most likely not caused by a defect in the product but external event. There is a security feature in the browser that prevents it from loading suspicious files. If such a file is loaded, we provide you with the error message you reported. We can do a test to prove it on your machine, depending how tech savvy you are. Please let us know and meanwhile you can give this a read https://textslashplain.com/2019/09/27/aw-snap-every-tab-crashes.
