Errors when closing Outlook 2002
« on: September 30, 2006, 06:43:15 PM »
Have Avast home installed (4.7.892) on a XP Pro (inc all patches). Every time I try to close Outlook, I get the following error:

"outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvienence"

The data in the report to Microsoft is:

"Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8010.0, stamp 43d16d53, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 00000000, debug? 0, fault address 0x65589ebe."

I've tried reparing Outlook and AVAST, but the error remains. This is also happening on a friends PC when he closes Outlook 2002.

Can anyone help?

Do you happen to have MSN toolbar or desktop search ?
If so could it be indexing the outlook folders when you close it down.

Sorry I'm not an outlook user so I can't be of more help, just that I have seen issues with Outlook and the MSN search which may have an effect.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security
