browser will not open,

Avast browser is locked out.
can't get to sites that are in avast browser.
have to use MS edge even to get here.

sorry to hear this. Would you be able to record and share a short video of you trying to operate the browser? Just record it using a tutorial like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIrzY1xyQcc&ab_channel=Techboomers and then share the recording using any file or video sharing service and share the link with us.

I had a similar issue today. Would not open in its usual way, but  it did open when i asked it to open as admin...which i did not want to do. I had to uninstall but unchecked the box to remove user data and then reinstall.
