Cannot save .png files in Paint.net
« on: October 27, 2020, 09:52:31 PM »
PROBLEM: Cannot save .png file anywhere in my PC or Google Drive using Paint.net. I get the following error:

An I/O error occurred when writing to the file.

My computer is only a few months old. Built it myself.

COURSE OF ACTION: 1) Remove Avast 2) Temporary disable Avast 3) Whitelist Paint.net
Whitelisting seems to be enough for now. We were using the Paint.net (PDN) software for months without any issues until recently. And after seeking help at the PDN forums it seems that a lot of people are reporting this issue with false reports from Avast and blocking PDN access to folders. Please fix accordingly.

Let me know if you require anything else of me.

Your support and cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time!

Respectfully,
