DRIVER UPDATER
« on: November 01, 2020, 04:35:23 PM »
So on my trusty laptop (aka Switch7 from ACER), I elected to get this AVAST service called Driver Updater. It's subline is "reduce crashes" so I'm all like, hey dides, this sounds like a pathway to Nirvana cause my newish device was all meeting expectations except for an unnerving loss of keys ("z" & "~") on keyboard, strangely enough.

But after rerouting my driver updates through AVAST, I start getting these blue screened STOP CODES which is aka crash with a twist (the screen says it's rebooting but never quite does). According to MS, there's a risk of this happening when 3rd party drivers are installed instead of strictly getting it through Windows or what-have-you.

When I try to raise Caine at AVAST, I notice in mute nostril agony that there's not really any designed in way to raise concerns in their Help tab. But I'm a paying customer, by gawd. What gives?
