Avast does not block that Firefox hacking
« on: November 02, 2020, 04:12:16 PM »
I don't know where to post this problem ... I don't know how to inform Avast about any new problem...

Avast does not block that Firefox hacking :

Hello

I got that already 2-3 times while trying to download some stuff.
- It activates printing in Firefox
- It's impossible to close the Firefox window!
- AVAST does not block anything?!
- When you retsart the PC, it's gone most of the time; sometimes you have to restart twice.

Thanks in advance

(I've got a paid Avast)

Hi,

Please check your settings for Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) - is it turned on?
Look at the settings under Virus Scan and Core Shields.

For the most part responses come from Avast Users just like yourself and you will for the most part only get a response if the person has knowledge of that problem.  You were fortunate in getting a response from an avast team member.

Did you contact avast support in the link that r@vast gave ?

Before this started to happen, had you installed any new firefox extensions ?

You might try running firefox without extensions and see if the problem still exists.
