The file isn't dangerous until it's executed at which time Avast block it.(Extraction is not execution.)

If the file is extracted from the zip Avast Free recognizes it and deletes it.

Thanks! For the most part, zip (archive) files aren't scanned (unless they are self-extracting archives/executables) by the resident scanner (Avast Free or Premium) as they are inert until unpacked at which point they would be scanned. Extraction should actually scan the file as it then falls under a newly created file (especially if it is an executable) as you mentioned.Quote from: Nunzio77If the file is extracted from the zip Avast Free recognizes it and deletes it.
Is it possible to reduce the startup time of the Avast Free icon in the status bar when starting and / or restarting the PC? In my PC it takes almost 1 minute to appear ... I obviously think it also depends on the PC characteristics, but I ask if it will be possible in the next versions to reduce the icon's startup times.

You need to realize that the display of the icon and the actual start of your protectionare different. Protection starts early on, but the icon appears much later. I'm not sure if Windowsor Avast determines exactly when the icon appears.
