Hi, thanks for reporting!

We're rolling out a fix for this problem and it will be live in few hours. The fix version is Avast Bank Mode 1.2.0.197 - if you will not see the update tomorrow, please open secure://extensions, enable Developer mode and click on "Update" button.

I've tried that solution and it doesn't work. I need to pay a number of bills and don't wish to use "standard internet" as I've been the victim of fraud. Hope you can resolve this issue soon.

Please note that I first saw your message 24 hours ago but decided to wait until today to try it again.

I also use bank Mode for bill paying, stock trading, etc. plus for a number of other sites like eBay simply because it lets me stay logged in to those sites for a long time. In a pinch I was using FireFox, but not also checking sensitive sites that weren't a necessity to visit.

On December 04 2020 I sent a message describing that I was unable to install the current version of AVAST SECURE BROWSER (ASB). Ever since, I 've been trying the same thing about once a week but nothing... To be more specific, I go to Avast official home page, I click the download ASB button (so far so good, it's being downloaded), then I follow the simple instructions to install it but it fails every time. Everything in my computer is updated and my internet connection works excellent.

So, I 'm asking for the second time. Could someone from Avast team provide me with some guidance about how to install ASB?

Current version is 88. If you're still having a problem try the following.

Maybe it's time for a clean install of the Secure Browser
Download the installer from here, https://www.avast.com/en-us/secure-browser
Download the Secure Browser Removal tool from here, https://download.avastbrowser.com/avast_secure_browser_uninstall.exe
Save your Bookmarks via the Book Marks Manager if you have custom bookmarks so you can import them when you re-install.
Uninstall Secure Browser via Programs and Features - Reboot
Run the removal tool, reboot, run the installer import your favorites if you saved them.

Avast has offered a separate tool to totally remove the Secure Browser if the above instructions don't work.

Hello again.

I have follewed the recommended instuctions several times but still nothing. ASB just won't get installed and it's so annoying...
