Each time I open a web (even safe ones like google, youtube and facebook) Avast pops out with this message: "Threat Secured; We've safely aborted connection on www.example.com because it was infected with JS:VDF-E [TrJ]". When I execute an analysis, Avast says my computer is clean. All I see about this malware is this annoying pop out message

What browser are you using ?
Have you added any new browser add-ons recently ?

Have you tried a different browser and if so does it still happen ?

Can you attach a screenshot of the Avast Alert window (expand the More Details option), see my attached screenshot.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

This Avast pop out only happens when I use google chrome browser, not in Edge or Firefox
I havent added any new browser add-ons recently. In the ss you cans see mine; these have been installed for a long time.

Same here; error on Chrome but not on other browsers, and it started today (November 26).  Even got that message when I logged onto this forum to try to see what's up.

I am getting the same warning since 26. november when I am using Chrome.
Is there something wrong with Avast or is it my PC?

Hello everyone,
I have the same problem since 26th November. I get this notification all the time only in chrome. I have not added any extensions recently and I tried to remove some. Even in the avast forum when I tried to login I got the warning pop up!

Same here, since the 26th.
I uninstalled Avast and re-installed the latest free version. All went well the rest of the day but today, the 27th, same thing happens since I started my laptop.
When I do a full scan, 6 malware threats are found, see attachment.

I've checked the Google Chrome extensions but I have none of these.

Please, would you be able to provide your list of extensions you have currently installed?
We've recently discovered a new malware strain which can be spread via Chrome (but partly even Edge) browser extensions, but unfortunately, we are still investigating this, so we don't have the full list of affected extensions yet.
Alternatively, you can try to disable specific extensions (meaning the notorious "one-per-one method") and let us know if you get the same, or any other detections?

Thank you very much for your cooperation.

These are the only extensions I have. Haven't added or deleted anything for a while.

Btw for some odd reason I haven't had a warning for hours. Just like yesterday, pop up after pop up warning for this malware, and then suddenly it stops.
I restarted my laptop waiting for warnings when I go online, but nothing.

I am running an online scan at the moment, will leave a message if there is something found.
